The shampoo works great for dry hair. It does not over dry and leaves hair feeling soft even while washing. However, it smells a bit medicated...make sure you like this scent

This is the second review I have ever done in my life (im 20 yrs old). I like this product A LOT. I had build up from sweat and the natural oil from my scalp. It cleanses nicely, I had to lather twice since I prepoo with coconut oil the night before my wash day. My hair felt squeaky clean but without the dry, stripped, weak feeling that commercial shampoos give you. It felt a little (i really mean a tiny bit) weird after, but the Island Naturals conditioner corrects that feeling. My hair is dry and this helped moisturize it. Oh and my hair type is...LOIS System: I'm O, I, and S. Spongy and Silky. Fia's Hairtyping System: 1b2b3c4a-N(Normal)-iii(Thick)-Medium Hair. Since I'm multi-racial I have combination hair, from straight strands to curly. Has a natural shine, with S curls and Slinky Curls. As is gets longer gravity helps it stay down. Normal Porosity. Fine Stands, Thick Density and Soft. Hope this Helps!!!

This shampoo wasn't what I wished it would be. It didn't help my dry frizzy coarse hair. It didn't lather at all, I've tried other natural shampoos that do a little but this didn't at all. I still will use it till it's gone because I like the natural ingredients and because it did clean my hair, but it still didn't do much to help fix my frizz.

I don't know where to start. I feel so fortunate to know about Aubrey Organics because there are so many women of color like myself out there looking for products that do what they say and to be all natural is a PLUS. I've tried Island Naturals and the White Camelia line so far and I'm so impressed I don't know what to do with myself. Because of the economy situation it's hard to get work, so after I ran out of Aubrey I had to settle on getting another natural product (temporarily) that's local and well known for catering to African American hair, however the entire line of products aren't 100% natural, it had no sulfates or parabens but had other stuff I didn't know and had to look up. I've been spoiled by Aubrey's products, so after using this other brand I quickly saw my hair was saddened by the change and I was very upset how it didn't even perform half as good as Aubrey's hair prods. The healthey luster and richness I worked so hard for using Aubrey Organics was taken away in 20 minutes by this other brand perpetrating to be natural. After I get rid of the junk I have to use right now, I am a loyal customer to Aubrey. It's amazing how shampoo and conditioner can be life changing and Aubrey definitely showed me how healthy African American hair can really be. Thank you Aubrey for having all your hair products work for all ethnicities. Please never compromise the integrity, the pure naturalness of your products and the great price, especially in the economy we live in now. I'm going to spread the word about Aubrey the hero!! :-)

I just got this shampoo and I absolutely love it! I was looking for an all natural organic shampoo and conditioner and I came across Aubrey Organics and decided to try it even though it is a little pricey for my budget. I loooooooveeeeeeee the smell some might not like it but I think it's a completely natural and revitaling scent! I will definitely experiment with more Aubrey hair cair products. My hair is shinier, has less frizz and feels really soft:)

I am a young woman of caribbean/black desent, and I found this to be a great, all-natural shampoo for my relaxed (4B) hair. I am very pleased with it. The scent is spicy but not overpowering. It does not produce too much lather, and it cleanses gently and washes away clean without over-stripping the hair of its moisture. I had to give it 4 stars because it does not detangle the hair at all. The conditioner detangles nicely, and if the shampoo did as well it would be a perfect 5/5. I hope there will be a detangling Island Naturals shampoo in the near future.
